We'll be posting responses to research we've done or read, musing on challenges we've faced in creating games, and pondering activities to help new game developers learn. The Learning Games Initiative and Lab is run by Barbara Chamberlin, Ph.D. and administered by Agricultural Communications.
Apple just put up a feature on game building tools that are available for MacOSX. While it's certainly not an exhaustive list (Director and Flash, for instance, are conspicuously absent), it does show a lot of interesting tools that are within reach of hobbyists and small development shops.
